Welcome to the Open College Network London Region (OCNLR) website – we hope that the information provided by this site will be useful and encourage you and your organisation to use OCNLR.
OCNLR is part of the leading credit-based awarding body in the UK, the National Open College Network (NOCN), and aims to widen participation in, and access to, high quality and flexible education, training and learning to promote social inclusion and to ensure that learner achievement is recognised, valued and understood through a national framework of accreditation.
OCNLR is the Access Validating Agency (AVA) for the London Region, an awarding body for Access to Higher Education.
OCNLR provides:
- Quality assurance for learning programmes
- Use of NOCN Qualifications http://www.nocn.org.uk/products/qualifications
- External moderation and verification of learning and achievement
- Award of certificates to learners detailing their achievements
- Support from experienced staff through the accreditation process
- Access to good practice and a database of approved units
- Staff development and networking activities
- Support for a network of organisations that collaborate in making education more accessible.
