OCN London Region is an Access Validating Agency (AVA) for the recognition and approval of Access to Higher Education Diplomas within the national framework managed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) www.accesstohe.ac.uk.
Access Learners
Our Access to Higher Education Diploma courses are designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills needed to progress to a degree or diploma course in higher education. These courses enable adults who do not have the necessary level 3 qualifications (such as ‘A’ levels) required to enter higher education to acquire the Access to HE Diploma, which is equivalent in standard to these qualifications.
A wide range of Access courses leading to many different qualifications and career opportunities have been developed across London. Go to our Access Courses Directory - a list of courses leading to Higher Education for details of all our Access to HE Diploma courses
For more information on aspects of application and entry to Access programmes and support available to learners go to Information for Access learners.
Access Providers
OCNLR have over 280 validated Access to HE programmes across London with over 5,500 learners registered on these courses. We offer support and guidance from our Access specialist staff to providers wishing to develop Access to HE courses.
Go to our Main OCNLR Access to HE website where you can find information on Access to HE Diploma grading, AVA units, rules of combination, guidance and regular updates.
