Clean Break is a theatre education and new writing company for women
with experience of the criminal justice system and women at risk of
offending as a result of drug and alcohol use and mental health needs.
Alongside our annual production which tours nationally,
Clean Break runs a year-round free arts education and training programme for women of all ages living in the greater London area. Opportunities include short courses in acting, self development, make up, writing for theatre and performance poetry, as well as our one-year Access to Higher Education Diploma (Theatre). Travel expenses and contributions to childcare are made where appropriate. We are a women-only organisation and our work is delivered by an all-women team who have strong skills, understanding and empathy, and a firm commitment to Clean Break’s artistic and social principles. We provide a safe space for women in our building.
