Croydon College is one of the largest providers of further and higher education programmes in the country and has more than 1,000 staff delivering programmes to over 15,000 students and is the sole provider of higher education in Croydon.

General information

Preparatory courses at Level 2: Yes, Diploma for Progression, 21/2 days per week. Progression to the relevant Access to HE pathway upon successful completion
Duration of courses: 1 year
Attendance: varies from 2 to 4 days per week, from 10am to 3pm with the exception of 2 day Nursing (10am-6pm)
Childcare: Some financial support available to early applicants
Learning support: Wide range of support provided
Disabilities: Support provided to meet all requirements
ESOL: Wide provision of English language support at all levels
N.B. These courses are all daytime provision, there is no evening provision

Courses

Access to HE Diploma (Nursing)
Attendance: Two days per week for those already working in health care, four days per week for those not working in health care
Progression: Diploma IN Nursing, limited possibilities for Midwifery

Access to HE Diploma (Education Studies)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: Degrees leading to Qualified Teacher Status, and English / Humanities degrees

Access to HE Diploma (Social Science)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: Various degrees e.g. Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Justice, Probation, Social Policy

Access to HE Diploma (Social Work)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: degree courses in Social Work

Access to HE Diploma (Art and Design)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: Various art based degrees e.g. Fine Art, Digital Media, Theatre Design, Fashion, Fashion with Business

Access to HE Diploma (Business Studies)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: Various degrees e.g. Business Studies, Accounting, Management, Economics, Human Resources

Access to HE Diploma (Humanities and Social Science)
Attendance: Four days per week
Progression: Various degrees e.g. English, Media, Journalism, Education Studies

Access to HE Diploma (Science)
Attendance: Four days per week
