Hillcroft is the national residential college for women and aims to transform women’s lives by providing and delivering educational opportunities that enable progression. Students who have successfully completed the Access course have progressed to higher education, vocational training or employment.

Hillcroft aims to contribute to the national development of women’s education and courses offered, aim to provide qualifications, build and develop confidence for women new to or returning to work or study, as well as extend Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Hillcroft is a unique learning environment, providing high quality teaching and learning guidance to enable women to succeed and progress.

General information

Pre- Access course: Yes
Duration: 2 terms (fast track) or 3 terms.
Start dates: September and January of each academic year.
Pre-entry: Prospective students (for Level 3 study) must have successfully completed an academic Level 2 course.
Attendance: Residential
Childcare: Financial support with childcare costs available on application.
Academic Learning support: offered through academic tutorials, additional learning support (including dyslexia, ESOL)
Costs: Grants are available upon application for most students. Further information is available on application.
