We have exceptional learning and teaching facilities with an extensive support staff to ensure that students receive the guidance and attention needed to succeed on our courses. Each student will have a personal tutor with whom they can plan progress and reflect upon their learning. Our Creative Arts department offers state of the art Creative Arts suites which will be available to all Access course students. We ask for relevant work experience before starting Access courses in Nursing, Teaching and Education Studies, Youth, Community and Social Work.

Duration of courses: Mainly 1 year
Childcare: Some places for children 18+ months, days only
Learning support: Additional learning support based on individual assessments
Disabilities: All courses can be run in DDA compliant facilities
ESOL: Yes, all levels. Extra language support offered where appropriate

Modular Access Programme pathways:

Access to HE Diploma (Social Work)
Access to HE Diploma (Youth and Community Work)

Attendance: Day (14 hours per week), day/evening (7 hours per week) may be possible in exceptional circumstances
Progression: Diploma or degree in Social Work, Youth & Community Work

Access to HE Diploma (Humanities and Social Science)
Attendance: Day (14 hours) evening (6 hours) Monday 5-9pm and Wednesday 6-8pm
Progression: Range of degrees in Social Science, Psychology, Cultural Studies, Social Anthropology, Literature, History, Law

Access to HE Diploma (Science)
Attendance: Day (Monday – Thursday)
Progression: Wide range of BSc programmes including Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Engineering

with routes in: Art and Design, Documentary and Digital Video, Digital Character Animation, Digital Motion Graphics, Photography, Web Design, Commercial Graphics and Digital Illustration
Attendance: Day, study: 14 hours per week
Progression: BA. in a range of Art & Design areas, B.Ed,  Working in the Creative Arts industry, Media and Graphic Design, Self employment, Fashion and Textiles, Photography. Video,  Interior and Architectural Design. Garden Design.or progress to forthcoming Level 4  Foundation Degree: Business Start-up for Creative Freelancers
