OCNLR is delighted to announce our new partnership with the National Communities Resource Centre, Trafford Hall, who were yesterday awarded £535,000 by the Dept for Communities and Local Government to deliver training and support for tenants to take positive local action to tackle problems that arise in their communities

Sally Wyatt, Chief Executive Trafford Hall, said:

"The National Communities Resource Centre is committed to helping tenants play a lead role in the decisions that affect their communities and we are delighted at this news. The funding will allow us to offer many more tenants the opportunity to get the training and support they need to tackle some of problems that plague their communities and make a real difference at local level.

The goals we have set will produce meaningful outcomes and assist in developing communities to make a real difference. We will be working closely with the Open College Network London Region to accredit all our courses. We are convinced that gaining a formal qualification will greatly benefit the people who attend our courses. This qualification can lead to greater confidence and motivation to train for further qualifications and better chances of employment.”

Professor Daniel Khan, OBE, Chief Executive of Open College Network London Region said:

“We are really excited about working with the National Communities Resource Centre. They have an excellent reputation for delivering outcomes for tenants and delegates on their courses. We are delighted that DCLG have awarded them the funding and look forward to this new exciting chapter.”
