NOCN Level 1 and 2 Award and Certificate in Developing Skills for the Creative and Cultural Industries (QCF)
These qualifications have expanded on the previous and very popular NOCN art and design qualifications. The qualifications have been designed to be flexible and enable access to a broad range of learning across the Creative and Cultural sector. They have been designed to allow for both the development of generic skills and then to supplement these with specific learning for the endorsed routes in art and design, music, craft, photography and performing arts.

These qualifications allow learners to gain skills in preparing for work through vocational units that can be contextualised in any number of work related activities, work simulations or actual work experience. They are particularly useful for learners who may have little previous achievement and who need to build self esteem and confidence.

Developed in partnership with Unionlearn, these qualifications provide a framework for learning and accreditation in a workplace context. They offer the opportunity to explore current workplace issues whilst developing the essential and transferable skills needed to sustain employment, progress at work and cope with change in a competitive labour market.

Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Preparing to Work in Creative Media (QCF)
These qualifications offer learners the generic skills and knowledge required to start working in the creative media industries. They have been developed in partnership with Skillset, the sector skills council and are related to the National Occupational Standards for these industries.

Level 2 Award in Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care (QCF)
This qualification enables those who have begun work, or are intending to work, in the health and social care sector to develop their understanding of the potential benefits for individuals of engaging in everyday and programmed activities. It will further learners’ understanding of how activity has an important role in person-centred care.

This suite of qualifications has been developed in partnership with Skills for Care and forms part of the Workforce Development Plan established through the National Dementia Strategy Project (England).

Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Supporting Public Services (QCF)
This is a key qualification within the Public Sector Skills Framework and has been developed by the Sector Skills Council, Asset Skills, in response to employer demand. It supports learning opportunities in the workplace for employees who are in regular contact with the public but have received no formal training in customer service as it is not their main job.

This qualification offers generic skills training in communication, health and safety, customer care and ICT as well as technical skill development. It is related to National Occupational Standards and provides a significant amount of knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin occupational competence in the Cleaning and Support Services Industry.
