What makes OCN London special?
NOCN qualifications are now widely used with learners in schools, pupil referral units and work-based learning providers, where a flexible and achievable alternative to more traditional qualifications is required. Using NOCN qualifications such as Step-UP can support the development of a personalised curriculum for each learner.
Our providers report that their use of our bite-sized qualifications is already resulting in a distinct improvement in learner motivation and engagement in school activities regardless of their expected level of attainment. With the option to deliver both skills based and vocational units, schools can build a flexible curriculum that can be delivered in a range of contexts. Learners are able to identify their personal interests and strengths for progression to further study. Each unit completed will be accredited and contribute towards a current or future qualification thus,
- demonstrating attainment and potential;
- enhancing self-esteem;
- increasing motivation to continue learning.

In addition to eligibility for public funding, a number of NOCN qualifications (including Step-UP) also contribute points for Achievement and Attainment Tables.Click here for details of Points Equivalencies.
