Designed for tutors with limited knowledge and experience of assessment in credit-based learning and who have to undertake assessment on OCN accredited provision.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the session participants will be able to:

• Identify characteristics of credit-based learning
• Select appropriate assessment methods for OCN units
• Evaluate the use of different types of assessment evidence
• Draw up guidelines for assembling learner evidence portfolios.

• Practice in designing assessment tasks
• Guidance on how to make good assessment judgements

• Eligible as contribution to CPD hours for teachers (attendance certificate issued on request)
